I must be getting good - didn't take nearly as long for an update this time

I've been on holiday since Saturday and until today it had been the run-of-the-mill holiday I was expecting. You know, long lies, catching up with the cleaning and spending lots of quality time with my boyfriend whom I don't get to see nearly as much as I'd like due to our working hours being so different.
Until today that is

We went for a little trip to Edinburgh today, spent most of the day there, so I'm happy to say I've finally started my Christmas shopping!!!

Oh, and so has he (under much duress) hahahaha

Actually we were in one of the shops in Edinburgh where I spotted something that I thought was a perfect Christmas present for mum. I took it to the counter and was just going into my bag to get my purse when I realised Gordon had already paid for it

so there you are, mum, it really is from both of us!!
It's been such a wonderful day, the sights were stupendous and I loved going into all the shops for a nosey

I didn't realise the high street (where all the shops are lined up for our convenience) was soooo long! Or so busy haha!! I also didn't realise Gordon had such an eye for photography until today either. He bought a disposable camera once we'd used up all the pics on our phones (I'd forgotten to bring my digital camera) and was snapping away quite the thing - he seemed so happy! It'll be interesting to see how the pictures turn out

By the time we made our way up to Edinburgh castle, it was starting to get quite dark so the castle was lit up really beautifully! We saw a lot of squirrels too, including one that had gone scavenging in one of the park bins lol it was really funny to see it perched on the side of the bin eating out of a packet!
I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I think he wants to go up the Law at some point so he can use up the rest of the film in the camera - methinks he'll be snap-happy tomorrow then!
On a side note, Gordon got me a Chelsea football top too. I've been kidding the shirt off him saying that I support the team just to annoy him as he's a die-hard manchester united fan and chelsea is (apparently) their rivals. I've been picking them as my team when we play fifa and rubbing his nose in it whenever I beat him (as you do

) It's been working - I do so love annoying him with football

but I was really touched when he gave me the shirt - it's the last thing I'd have thought he'd buy for me. It's too big but it was the only size available (he had to try it on to see
how big exactly it would be...and that
really pained him!!!) He can be so sweet sometimes - especially lately!

Needless to say I'm very happy with my life and my boyfriend at the moment...just wish I could say the same about work

Anyhoo, I've rambled on long enough! Ciao
My Family

best pic I've seen for a long time
I appreciate your support !!!
